How to Top up / Recharge Ventra Card USA?

  1. Visit https://www.ventrachicago.com/
  2. Mobile App: Download the Ventra mobile app on your smartphone from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  3. Ventra Vending Machines: Look for Ventra vending machines located at CTA ‘L’ stations, CTA bus terminals, and other Ventra retail locations.
  4. Insert your Card into the machine, select the “Add Transit Value” option, and follow the instructions to recharge your card using cash, credit/debit card, or a linked bank account.
  5. Retailers: Many retail locations, such as Walgreens, Jewel-Osco, and CVS Pharmacy, have Card reload machines available. Locate a participating retailer near you and follow the instructions at the reload machine to add value to your card.
  6. Ventra Customer Service Centers: Visit a Customer Service Center, which are usually located at major transit stations such as Chicago Union Station, Ogilvie Transportation Center, or Midway and O’Hare airports.
  7. Inform the staff that you would like to top up your Card, and they will assist you in the process.
